Section 98 :
1.[Chapter to override Chapter V and other laws :
The provisions of this Chapter and the rules and orders made thereunder shall have effect notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in Chapter V or in any other law for the time being in force or in any instrument having effect by virtue of any such law.]

1. Section 5 of the T.N Motor Vehicles (Special Provisions) Act, 1992 provides that the provisions of Sections 3, 4 and 6 of the 1992 Act shall have effect notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in Chaps. V and VI including Section 98 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
