Section 221 :
Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions :

Classification of Offence:
Offence : Obstructing public servant in discharge of his public functions.
Punishment : Imprisonment for 3 months, or fine of 2500 rupees, or both.
Cognizable or Non-cognizable : Non-cognizable
Bailable or Non-bailable : Bailable
Compoundable or Non-compoundable : Non-compoundable
By Which Court Triable : Any Magistrate.

Whoever voluntarily obstructs any public servant in the discharge of his public functions, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to two thousand and five hundred rupees, or with both.
