Punishment for belonging to gang of dacoits:

Offence: Belonging to a gang of persons associated for the purpose of habitually committing dacoity.
Punishment :Imprisonment for life, or Rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and fine.
Cognizable or Non-cognizable : Cognizable
Bailable or Non-bailable :Non-bailable
Compoundable or Non-compoundable : Non-compoundable.
By Which Court Triable :Court of Session.

Whoever, at any time after the passing of this Act, shall belong to a gang of persons associated for the purpose of habitually committing dacoity, shall be punished with 1.[imprisonment for life], or with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
